Today is the Feast of St. John Bosco founder of the Salesians of Don Bosco who ministers to boys. One of the most interesting aspects of his life was the many divine dreams he had where he experienced visions to bolster his students' faith and the seriousness of sin and importance of the Eucharist and grace. Several years ago, Tan Books compiled many of his dreams in their book "Forty Dreams of St. John Bosco." Patrick O'Hearn of Tan Books calls in to tell Gus about that book, a little about the saint's life and about his mother who he wrote about in his book, "The Parents of the Saints."
Later, Fr. Timothy Ploch, retired general counselor for the Interamerica Region of the Salesians of Don Bosco, calls in to talk about St. John Bosco's life, legacy and order, which still thrives worldwide today.
Also, Gus is joined by the host of the popular Just a Guy in the Pew Podcast John Edwards who talks a little bit about his reversion story, how he came about doing his podcast and his new virtue of the month course.
And Gus also does a round of Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
St. John Bosco, pray for us!
