Today is the feast day of one of Gus' favorite saints, St. Francis de Sales. He wrote the spiritual masterpiece "Introduction to the Devout Life." Gus tells the saint's biography and shares a few excerpts from his classic book. After talking about how much St. Francis de Sales' writings influenced him, Gus invites listeners to call in and share what writings of the saints influenced them.
Also, Gus plays some audio from this past Friday's March for Life rally, including the keynote speaker, Fr. Mike Schmitz, who shares an incredible story about his mother, and from a young lady with Downs Syndrome named Katie Shaw. She says how she believes equality begins in the womb and talks about how there's an adoption waiting list for babies with Downs Syndrome but that 80% of babies diagnosed with it in the womb are aborted.
