Gus recounts a call from last week during a conversation with a listener whose father had recently passed away. While going through his cell phone, they noticed he had the Monkees' song "Daydream Believer" on it, which was out of character for him. Not long after the funeral, while the family was still grieving, they heard the song play in the restaurant they were dining and they took that as a message from God. Gus asks listeners if God has ever spoken to them through a song.

I just wanted to share a story with you regarding the topic of “Music & God.”

The story I’m sharing started a couple of years ago and was added to just a few weeks ago. I sat down to write the story out, not exactly sure who would be reading it. When I heard the program on Monday morning I knew it was time to share the story.

It’s funny too; I’m not a SiriusXM subscriber but I get the chance to tune in from time to time. I work as an automotive technician and part of the used car inspection routine is to verify good radio reception. I always preset three channels in the radio: channel 63, the Message; channel 129, the Catholic Channel; and channel 130, EWTN. These channels may or may not stay on the radio when a new owner purchases the vehicle but maybe they’ll hear just the right thing at just the right moment and it could change a life. God works in mysterious ways!

Below is a link to a Google Drive document (copy & paste); it includes embedded links to YouTube to hear the two songs that are part of the story. Enjoy and God bless.
