Gus is joined by Nefarious film producers Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman, which is currently in theaters and is getting rave reviews. The movie, starring Sean Patrick Flannery and Jordan Belfi, deals with a man on death row who's possessed by a demon (Flannery) and the prison psychiatrist (Belfi) sent to make sure he's sane so that the execution can be carried out. It's a powerful Catholic movie that's affecting people. Cary and Chuck share with Gus how the movie came about, the challenges it has face and is facing, some of the clear signs from God they witnessed during its filming and what viewers can expect from it.
Later, Gus is joined by Catholic author and apologist Karlo Broussard to talk about his new book, "The New Relativism: Unmasking the Philosophy of Today's Woke Moralists," available from Catholic Answers Press. In it, Karlo gives reasoned, logical arguments to a movement that doesn't rely on logic and reason on issues like LGBTQ+ social issues and what it perceives as racism.
And it's Monday so Gus does a round of Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
Eddie,
The Gospel writers used the word disciples to describe the followers of Jesus, many of which were women. (Mary Magdalene was a disciple of Jesus.) The word Apostles refers to the Twelve, all of whom were men. Hope this helps!
Deacon RJ,
You’ll need to search theaters in your area (Google or Fandango). If none are showing it, you should call your local theater and ask them to show it.
God bless!
The Peace of Christ be with you.
I have a group that would like to see Nefarious, and we are unable to find a theatre playing the movie. Can you put me in touch with someone who might be able to help us?
Pax-Deacon RJ
