Lino Rulli, the Catholic Guy, calls in from the Holy Land. He’s there with a small contingent accompanying Cardinal Timothy Dolan and talks about enduring the missile strike from Iran on Saturday. He also talks about how, in the wake of the October 7th Hamas attack on Israel, Jerusalem has really turned into a ghost town as far as tourism is concerned. Many people there, including Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, have urged Lino to tell people that it’s safe in the Holy Land and then this happens. Lino talks about Cardinal Dolan’s trip and when they, hopefully, expect to return and asks for prayers.
Also, Catholic author and speaker Shaun McAfee calls in to talk about his new book, “All Things Catholic: A Guide from A to Z” available from Sophia Institute Press. It’s a Catholic encyclopedia of sorts, but much more than that. Not only does Shaun covers many of the basics, current hot button issues like transgenderism and many of the deeper aspects of the Catholic faith, but also provides practical Catholic application, spiritual wisdom and guidance.
And it's Monday so Gus does a couple rounds of Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
