Gus plays a little game with his listeners today and gets a great response. He asks them, besides Jesus, who in the New Testament would you like to have a conversation with and why? We get a lot a great choices, including the Roman guards, the Blessed Virgin Mary, of course, Joseph, Elizabeth, Judas and many others.
Later, Gus is joined by Magnas MacFarlane-Barrow, the founder and CEO of Mary’s Meals. Their mission is to provide life-changing meals to some of the world’s poorest children every school day. In fact, Mary’s Meals feeds well over two million children across 18 countries every single day. Magnas talks about the genesis of his organization, which began after he made a pilgrimage to the Marian shrine in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1983, and their current Ethiopian initiative. If you feel moved to donate, you may do so here.
Also, it's Friday so Gus engages in some Prayer Time with listeners, and, although he didn't have time to do Friday w/the Fathers today, he reads a quote from Church father St. Athanasius.
