Gus plays a news story out of Jacksonville, Florida where two teens, Tyler Smith and Heather Brown, skipped class in the annual, unofficial senior skip day, took a swim in the ocean and ended up two miles offshore. When all hope seemed loss, Tyler began to cry out to God, saying, "If you really do have a plan for us, like, come on. Just bring something." Just then, a boat sailing from Florida to New Jersey, called "Amen," appeared out of nowhere and the two were rescued. Gus asks listeners if they've ever had some sort of similar divine intervention occur in their lives.

Also, Gus talks about immigration, particularly the adjustments made by immigrants when they arrive to a new culture like the U.S. He talks with listeners who are first or second generation immigrants and what that was like for them.

And, it wouldn't be a Seize the Day Friday without a little Prayer Time.
