As we wrap up our commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Pope Paul VI's encyclical "Humanae Vitae," which reinforced the Catholic Church's position against artificial contraception, Gus welcome Daniel DiSilva, producer of the new documentary "Sexual Revolution: 50 Years Since Humanae Vitae," which chronicles the development and rise of artificial contraception concurrently with the development of natural family planning, both of which occurred at the time of the publication of Humanae Vitae in 1968. DiSilva's film juxtaposes the two and holds the Sexual Revolution accountable for not delivering on its promises. The film's narrator, singer Alana Newman, also joins him and Gus.
And, it's Friday so that means Prayer Time and, today, Gus prays an Intentional Rosary with listeners.
