When Gus takes his daily morning walk, he passes by a retired neighbor who just sits in his garage all day long. Statistics show that most Americans aren't financially prepared for retirement, but Gus goes beyond that, asking listeners if they ready to retire mentally. In other words, do they have a plan for what they're going to do when their working days are over?

Also, Gus talks about a news story he read recently where a group of Jewish and Christian clergy gathered at an abortion clinic to bless it. He talks about how stories like this both sadden and enrage him. Although he feels that these clergymen and women may have good intentions, they are nothing less than wolves in sheep's clothing, leading people to sin. He encourages his listeners to pray that God will provide clarity for all of them.

And, it wouldn't be a Seize the Day Friday without a little time set aside for prayer.
