Gus is joined by Dr. Tom McGovern, of the Catholic Medical Association, who's written a new book called "What Christ Suffered: A Doctor's Journey Through the Passion." Not only does he break down the various medical aspects of Jesus' scourging, crucifixion and death but he also provides his own personal spiritual reflections and how his recent trip to the Holy Land affected him.
Later, Tony and Tina Ruiz call in to the program. They're deputy international coordinators for Retrouvaille International, which is a Catholic retreat for troubled marriages that seeks to help couples seek and find healing. Tony and Tina share their own story, which included a marriage on the brink of destruction, which found resurgence at a Retrouvaille several years ago. They also share how they're conducting retreats in the era of COVID and social distancing.
And it's Friday so Gus does Prayer Time with listeners as well as Friday with the Fathers where he continues the First Apology of Justin Martyr.
