Gus reads an impressive pastoral letter written by Tyler, Texas Bishop Joseph Strickland and distributed to the faithful of that diocese. In it, he addresses many of the attacks on truth in our culture and urges them to hold fast to the true message of the Gospel, which the Catholic Church has taught since time and memoriam.
Also, in today's Friday w/the Fathers, Gus continues with the homilies of St. John Chrysostom. Today, he focuses on his homilies on the Book of Genesis.
And it's the final Friday of the month, so, for Prayer Time, Gus prays an Intentional Rosary with listeners.
This is a quote of Strickland’s: “I believe Pope Francis is the Pope but it is time for me to say that I reject his program of undermining the Deposit of Faith. Follow Jesus.”
He seems to be putting himself over the Pope and the Magisterium. I find that very disturbing bordering on arrogant.
