Gus devotes much of today’s Seize the Day program to the reaction following Baltimore Ravens Running Back Ray Rice’s termination from the team after TMZ released the disturbing video of him punching his then-fiancee Janay Palmer in an elevator last February, knocking her unconscious. He asks his listeners how something like this affects the solubility of a marriage, if that’s a one-and-done offense, and whether or not they or somebody close to them has ever been a victim of domestic violence.

Also, Gus is joined by Daniel Blomberg, legal counsel at the Becket Fund, to talk about a recent case initiated by the Freedom From Religion Foundation that sought to limit and control what religious leaders say to their congregations from the pulpit. The case was dismissed. He also gives Gus and update on the Little Sisters of the Poor vs. Sebelius, which seeks to force them to provide contraceptive and abortifacient drugs for their employees.
