Gus is still unraveling the Synod of the Family, which wrapped up this past Sunday. He reads a lot of statements published by U.S. bishops who were in attendance and plays a clip of Cardinal Dolan’s account from yesterday’s edition of Conversation w/Cardinal Dolan on the Catholic Channel. You can listen to it by clicking here.

Also, today is the first-ever feast of Pope St. John Paul II. The pontiff, who led the Catholic Church from 1978 to 2005, was canonized this past April 27th. Gus asks his listeners how he affected or influenced their lives and if they were ever able to see him in person.

Jason Evert also calls into the program and talks about how St. John Paul II influenced his ministry. Jason wrote a book on the former pope called “Saint John Paul the Great: His Five Loves.” Check out Jason’s Web site by clicking here.

St. John Paul II, pray for us.

John Paul II
