We honor our military veterans today by talking with listeners who served their country in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard. Gus thanks them by rewarding those who get on the air with a prize. Also, Gus talks with Sheila Laughton, program manager of Loyola Spirituality Center, which provides spiritual direction to military veterans. Sheila is also a retired Air Force Lt. Col.
And, in light of today’s Gospel (Luke 17: 11-19), in which Jesus cures 10 lepers and only one, who happens to be a Samaritan, comes back to thank Him, Gus asks listeners what they’re thankful for but they must start with “Thank you Jesus for…”
