Former NBA All-Star Caron Butler (pictured below) joins Gus in our NY studio to talk about how his troubled youth took a turn for the better after being arrested 15 times before turning 15. While incarcerated at a youth detention center in his home state of Wisconsin, Caron started reading a Bible his grandmother had given him. This led to Caron’s rise as a basketball player that ultimately landed in a 14-year NBA career and his charitable outreach to troubled children. Caron is this year’s recipient of the Catholic Youth Organization‘s Terence Cardinal Cooke Humanitarian Award.
Also, at this year’s Chrism Mass in the Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin, Bishop Robert Morlino urged the faithful to consider receiving communion on the tongue while kneeling. Gus asks listeners their thoughts.
