Rodney Stark, author of the new book “Bearing False Witness: Debunking Centuries of Anti-Catholic History,” calls in to talk about many of the various anti-Catholic myths that have been around for centuries that he addresses in the book, including clerics believing the world was flat during the time of Columbus, antisemitism, Pope Pius XII being a Nazi sympathizer and the Spanish Inquisition.

Also, David Storvick, director and chaplain for IndyCar Ministry, which offers various religious services to Indy Car drivers, staff and support staff, calls in to talk about how they serve. David told Gus that IndyCar Ministry does have Catholic priests who offer mass before every Indy Car race.

And, inspired by today’s Gospel reading where Jesus tells His disciples that “the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve,” Gus talks with listeners about their experiences with one of the biggest services to our country that people try to get out of….jury duty.
