Deacon Matt Skinner calls in to the program. He’s recently been made a permanent deacon and is single. Currently, only 2% of permanent deacons are unmarried men, which requires celibacy. Deacon Skinner talks about his calling and the challenges and rewards it’s brought him.
Then, Gus talks about how the Diocese of Helena, Montana is now allowing outdoor weddings. Traditionally, the Sacrament of Marriage is done inside a church in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Gus says he has no problems with outdoor weddings and gets listeners’ thoughts.
