Gus is live again in Rogers, Arkansas, at the St. Vincent DePaul parish mission, and today he starts off talking with parish Deacon Ronnie Hoyt about his reversion story. Deacon Ronnie was a top Walmart executive who took a year sabbatical to discern his faith and his vocation.

Later, Msgr. David LeSieur, pastor at St. Vincent de Paul, joins Gus on site to talk about his vocation story and what’s going on in his parish.

And, Gus talks with listeners about today’s first reading (EPH 5:21-33), where St. Paul says, “…so wives should be subordinate to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the Church.” To many, it’s a controversial reading but Gus explains it’s not a doctrine of male dominance or misogyny but an urging to people of both genders to die to self and live in Christ.
