Project Christmas begins today! Each year, in the four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we invite one charity on per week to raise money for those in need. Today, was Phase 1: Food for the Poor. Executive Director Angel Aloma gets things started once again for Project Christmas and we raise $11,000 in one hour for poor families in Haiti. And later, Gus gets another Facebook missive from Bob, the listener who was considering leaving the Church because priests and bishops don’t do enough to publicly condemn pro-choice Catholics. This time, Bob says, after consideration, he’s doubling down and definitely leaving the Church. Gus gives Bob a rather terse response and reads in on the air and gets listener reaction.
