It’s a very papal edition of Seize the Day!

Gus starts off talking about another interview Pope Francis did with the Italian magazine La Repubblica. In it, the holy father supposedly said that 2% of Catholic priests are pedophiles, although the Vatican is disputing that quote. So, Gus asks his listeners what they think when they read about a statement like that attributed to the pope. To read more about it, click here.

Later in the show, Catholic blogger James Day calls in to talk about the prophetic papacy of Pope Paul VI. James is also a campus minister at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. To read James’ article on the late pontiff, click here.

Gus also talks about a recent ecumenical meeting the pope did with five U.S. televangelists and he invites his non-Catholic listeners to call in and share how they feel about the pope’s supposed comment that he “did not wish to convert Protestants.” Click here to read what our good friend Fr. Dwight Longenecker had to say about this meeting.
