On today’s edition of Seize the Day, Gus asks his listeners how far they commute is to their church on Sunday. Is it near or far? Do you commute to a parish that’s far away even though there’s one closer to you?

Gus also takes another question to the listeners: Do you have a relative or loved one who’s converted from Catholicism to another Christian religion and, if so, how have you dealt with that? Does the topic of religion ever come up in conversation?

And, Dr. Christopher Bellitto, chair and associate professor of History at Kean University in Union, NJ, joins Gus to talk about Pope Paul VI who the Vatican recently announced will be beatified this October. Dr. Bellitto gives us a little insight into why a person is beatified and, when you beatify a pope, are you necessarily beatifying his papacy?
