Based on today’s first reading from Tobit, which talks about the marriage of Tobiah and Sarah, and how the two prayed together for its sanctity, Gus talks to listeners about the importance of couple prayer and what it can do for a marriage. Gus challenges his married, and dating, listeners to the 30-Day Prayer Challenge, where the two pray together every day for one minute. And the prayer is very simple! It’s the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Glory Be.
Afterwards, Gus invites listeners to call in about couple prayer in their lives and what it’s done for them. We also hear from some who need encouragement. Some of those who get on the air win a prize that Gus picked up on his pilgrimage last week in Spain and Portugal.
