Catholic blogger Matthew Tyson calls in to talk with Gus about his most recent article entitled “Who Died and Made You Pope?” So often, we see public figures who identify themselves as Catholic set a bad example of their faith and we say, or may hear others say, that their bishop should publicly excommunicate them. Matthew tells us why that may not be the most charitable, or Christian, responses. To read Matthew’s article, check out his blog by clicking here.
Gus also reminisces today on his time in the Holy Land last month and tells his listeners about a place on the Mount Olives called the Church of the Pater Noster, where the Our Father prayer is engraved in stone in over 100 different languages. Gus invites listeners to call in and teach them to say the prayer in a language other than English. Eventually, Gus limits it to teaching the to say the title of the prayer for time’s sake.
