Gus is all about St. Ignatius of Loyola on today’s edition of Seize the Day. After all, it is his feast day.

First, Gus kicks everything off by playing Bible Roulette, Ignatian style. Callers who get on the air get a Bible passage that they can reflect and meditate on all day in the style of an Ignatian retreat.

And, speaking of Ignatian retreats, Fr. Bill Brown calls in to talk about what they’re all about. Although Fr. Brown is not a Jesuit, he has conducted several Ignatian retreats at St. Joseph’s Retreat House in Milton, Massachusetts and goes into the nuts and bolts of their makeup. Also, Gus revisits last year’s interview with Fr. Thomas Smolich, president of the Jesuit conference. Fr. Smolich was our guest last July 31st and he explained the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola and how the Jesuit Order keeps his legacy alive over 500 years later. St. Alphonsus of Liguori, pray for us.
