Today Gus mentioned that he will be leading a retreat for catechists and catechetical leaders in Houston, TX on January 21, 2017. That sparked a conversation about those who have been involved in a catechetical ministry. Many shared the blessings they have received from passing on the faith. Gus talked about the death of William Christopher, the actor who played Fr. Mulcahy on the television show M*A*S*H. Gus asked about listeners favorite portrayals of religious figures in media. Fr. Mulcahy was one of Gus’ favorites, along with Jim Caviezel in The Passion of the Christ and Sally Field in The Flying Nun.
