In yesterday’s First Reading (Numbers 13: -1-2, 24-14:1, 26A-29A, 34-35), the children of Israel finally arrive at the promised land and Moses sends 12 out scouts to reconnoiter the land. They return with discouraging reports about the inhabitants who already occupy it, sowing seeds of doubt among children of Israel (depicted below in Giovanni Lanfranco’s 1624 painting). Because of this, God punishes them for their lack of faith. Inspired by this, and the Center for Medical Progress’ recent undercover Planned Parenthood videos, Gus asks his listeners if they believe God still punishes His people.

We also welcome Ignitum Today writer Lauren Meyers to talk about her recent article entitled “What to Do When You Struggle with the Church.” Afterwards, Gus asks listeners to call in if they ever struggled with the Catholic Church and how they dealt with it.
