Gus talks with listeners about raising their children in the faith and how they’ve dealt with it when their kids turn away from it. Gus talks about how he stopped going to mass once he got his driver’s license and the circuitous route it took him back to God.

Then, author Steven Liparulo calls in to talk about his new book “Farewell to Football?: An American Fan’s Examination of Conscience.” Steven talks about how he was a passionate football fan but, in his younger days, it wasn’t properly balanced. He believes that people should follow and love the game, but keep it in the proper perspective. He also advocates making it safer without completely changing the game. Afterwards, Gus asks listeners if they’d let their kids play youth football in light of all the recent concussion/CTE controversies.
