For our final Lenten 40/40/40, Leslie Tardoff, executive director of Save a Family Plan, joins us to talk about their mission, which is a commitment to poverty reduction in India through sustainable development and the overall strengthening of families and communities.
Also, Dr. Brant Pitre, author of the “Jesus & the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist” and “The Case for Jesus: The Bibical and Historical Evidence for Christ” calls in to explain the Jewish roots of Jesus and His apostles and how that led to the institution of the Eucharist and the priesthood; both of which are celebrated on Holy Thursday.
And, Gus talks about what typically goes on at the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, at Holy Thursday mass, which includes the washing of the feet by the priest. Gus asks listeners to call in and share what goes on at their parish.
