If you miss the message in today's first reading, you're not paying attention. The theme is reiterated five times. In the Gospel reading from Luke 7, John the Baptist has two of his disciples go and ask Jesus if He (Jesus) is the one who is to come. Jesus tells them to "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard."
"I am the LORD, there is no other." This (or a minor variation thereof) is what we see five times in today's first reading from Isaiah 45. Seems pretty clear, doesn't it?
Jesus was letting John's disciples know that He had proven Himself through his miraculous works. No other "god" could do these things. The same holds true in our lives. Could any other "god" - money, fame, power, possessions - do the things that Jesus has done for you? Of course not. So, our course of action needs to be the same as John's disciples, to "go and tell" the world about the miraculous things that the Only God can do. There is no other.
Father, we thank you for your many miracles in our lives. May we tell the world about Jesus and your saving grace. Amen.

Bless you Gus in your ministry. I listen to you on Sirius or app daily. You are such an inspiration! God Bless you. I have been very touched by your White Envelope and giving. I wanted to tell you that while I listen on delay I was unable to call in and donate so I have decided to donate to the Childrens Dream Fund in honor of my Children Grand Children and Great Grand Children. I plan to make this an annual tradition. Thank you so much.
