The Blessings of Faithfulness

Posted on

Today we finish our time in the Book of Job. We read what happens after Job's great testing.

God blessed Job with more than he ever had before his testing began. And Job was very rich before. And it wasn't only material things, but children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. "Then Job died, old and full of years."

Faithfulness carries great reward. Now, the reward for faithfulness may not be material things, or family or even a long life. All of these things, though not unimportant, are transitory. The ultimate reward for faithfulness is eternal.

Father, may we be like Job and never lose our faith in you. Amen.
