Today in the U.S., the Church gives some options for readings for Thanksgiving Day. One of these options is Sirach 50:22-24. It is such a beautiful reading. I thought I would share it with you today.
And now, bless the God of all, who has done wondrous things on earth; Who fosters men’s growth from their mother’s womb, and fashions them according to his will! May he grant you joy of heart and may peace abide among you; may his goodness toward us endure in Israel as long as the heavens are above.
This is my prayer for you today, dear friend. I am so thankful that God has allowed our paths to cross, even if only on the airwaves or the Internet. I am blessed beyond measure in my life. I have a faith-filled wife, wonderful children, a job that I love, and an opportunity to share my life and the Gospel with you each day. I hope today your heart is filled with gratitude to the One whom we could never repay. May the peace of our Lord be with you always.
