Today's Gospel reading is the story of a sinful woman who comes to do homage to Jesus in the home of a Pharisee. Jesus says, "So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; hence, she has shown great love. But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little."
In the first reading from 1 Corinthians 15, Saint Paul writes, "His grace to me has not been ineffective. Indeed, I have toiled harder than all of them; not I, however, but the grace of God that is with me."
I'm sure you've heard the old expression "There but for the grace of God go I." I believe the more we recognize God's grace in our lives, the better off we are. And I can assure you of one thing: it's all grace. Do you see the mighty hand of God at work in your life every day? Do you recognize all the graces he is showering upon you? If not, open your heart a little wider. It's all grace, my friend.
Father, we thank you for your grace. May we see your grace flowing into our lives more clearly each day. Amen.
