Gus kicks off the week talking to Maureen Ferguson of the Catholic Association about the Senate’s vote to defund Planned Parenthood. She provides detail on who supported this and who didn’t and how the eventual veto by President Barack Obama won’t stifle the push to end abortion in this country.

Then, Gus talks with documentary filmmaker Martin Doblmeier about his latest effort entitled “Chaplains,” which is currently airing on PBS and makes its debut on PBS’ World Channel tonight at 7:00 pm ET/9:00 pm PT. Joining Martin was one of his documentary subjects, Fr. Pat Conroy, S.J., who is the chaplain for the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington D.C. Fr. Pat talks about his vocation story and how he ended up with that particular gig.

Gus also does a couple rounds of Tell Me Something Good and closes asking listeners how they budget their Christmas spending on their kids/grandkids.
