It’s a power-packed Friday on Seize the Day as Gus prepares to take a week plus off.

We kick everything off with Prayer Time and then Gus gets into a heavy discussion with listeners about Bishop Ronald Gainer of the diocese of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s decision to not allow the male wrestlers in Catholic schools in his diocese spar with females. To read more about it, click here.

Also, Gus talks with David Adams, vice president for missions at Cross Catholic Outreach, about the upcoming St. Louis conference on the Shroud of Turin that occurs at the end of next week. To learn more about the event, click here.

Carl Olson, editor of Catholic World Report, also calls in to the program to talk about the upcoming Nicholas Cage film “Left Behind.” Carl talks about the evangelical philosophy called “the rapture,” which is the central theme of the movie, and explains the Catholic Church’s stance on that issue. And, we also hear from Rachel Lu, senior contributor at the Federalist, who gives us six Bible verses that will get you through a football game day. To read her article, click here.
