Gus talks about the ongoing Synod on Synodality in Rome and the issue of the ordination of women to the diaconate and the priesthood. Gus talks about how this matter has been settled by Pope St. John Paul II, and yet it keeps coming up. Gus asks listeners to call and talk about it and how important this issue is to them.

Also, Fr. Jedidiah Tritle joins Gus in the Conversion Corner. He grew up in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where his father was an elder and also the pastor for a small church for a time. When he was 12, his entire family converted to Catholicism, and he went from home schooling to being in Catholic school in 8th grade. He went through a bit of a struggle transitioning but eventually found a place in Catholicism. He shares that journey as well as his vocation journey into the priesthood.

    Cheryl,
The Conversion Corner with Fr. Jedidiah is available on the SXM app for the next week. Just search for Gus Lloyd or Seize the Day and you’ll find it there.
    Thanks for listening!

    Meredith,
We don’t keep information about callers to the show, so we could not provide her with your email.
    Thanks for listening!

I am listening to the dialogue regarding women in the priesthood. I would love to hear from caller ‘Maria’, we share the same perspective. Any chance you could provide her with my email? I am a convert to Catholicism in 2017, long delayed from my initial desire as a very young woman.

How can I get the discussion with Fr. Jediddiah? I heard his interview while on my way to the Cathedral Bascilica in Cincinnati.
My son was in the 2019 seminary class with Fr. Jedidiah. There is a Serra Club of Cincinnati with a sub group called POPS, Parents of Priests and Seminarians. I would like to share it with them
