Gus is joined by Catholic author/speaker Gary Zimak who wrote the best-selling book, “Give Up Worry for Lent! 40 Days to Finding Peace in Christ,” available from Ave Maria Press. Gary talks with Gus about worry and anxiety and the role it plays it plays in our spiritual life and how we can manage it. He also talks about how we’ll never completely rid ourselves of worry, but that we can minimize it and just because we feel like things are hopeless, it doesn’t mean it’s actually hopeless. Afterwards, Gus gives away copies of “Give Up Worry for Lent” to listeners who call in and get on the air with him.

Later, Gus talks about a story out of the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Lourdes, France. At the shrine, there are several mosaics done by Fr. Marko Rupnik who has been accused of sexual, psychological and spiritual abuse of religious sisters and lay women and has already been released by his religious orders, the Jesuits. The Bishop of Lourdes has received numerous complaints and is considering whether or not to remove the artwork from the shrine. Critics of cancel culture point out that the Church possesses many pieces of artwork done by artists with questionable personal lives. Gus asks listeners to call in and share their thoughts.
