Today is Gus and Michelle's 43 wedding anniversary. He talks about how his faith life then was virtually non-existent compared to how robust it is now and how his bride and he helped each other along the way. He invites listeners to call in and talk about their faith lives on their wedding day compared to now.
Also, Gus is joined by Catholic author Patti Maguire Armstrong. She was on the show almost a year ago to talk about her book "What Would Monica Do? Consolation, Hope, and Inspiration in the Spirit of St. Monica for Those Bearing the Cross of a Loved One Who Is Away from the Faith," and she rejoins us on the cusp of World Youth Day 2023 to spread a message of hope to parents whose children have strayed from the faith. She offers several examples, some personal, of struggles parents go through in our culture with grown children, and other loved ones, and the oftentimes worldly reasons they leave the practice of their faith.
