Today is the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul and, in its honor, Gus invites listeners who’ve had a conversion experience to call in and share their stories and their conversion process.

Also, in keeping with the conversion theme, Gus is joined in the Conversion Corner by Deacon David Reiser. He is a convert from Judaism and met Gus on his Danube River Cruise Pilgrimage last Fall. In fact, his wife had an accident on the dance floor one night, severely injuring her back, and they had to stay in Germany for two weeks until she was well enough to fly home. He was also an FBI agent for many, many years. He shares his family story, including growing up in Israel, and how meeting his wife after being transferred to Puerto Rico led his conversion.

And Bob Dunning calls in to the program. Because of Gus’ weeks-long struggle with shingles, they weren’t able to preview the national championship game and some of the coaching changes that have taken place in college football. They talk about those, including the retirement of Alabama coach Nick Saban and last night’s announcement that Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is leaving to take over the Los Angeles Charges in the NFL. They also talk about next year’s college football season, which will feature the 12-team playoff for the first time.

When I am doing errands, I enjoy listening to your show. After listening to the story of the conversion of St. Paul during the morning, it was a question on
    “Jeopardy” that same night.
