Gus talks about our Conversion Corner guest earlier this week, Gail Buckley Barringer, aka "the Bible Lady," who spoke about her deep-rooted love for Scripture. Even growing up as a non-practicing Methodist, she would seek it out in different ways. Gus talks about how Catholics are always being accused of "not knowing" the Bible. He asks listeners to call in and share whether or not they read the Bible growing up and, if so, how they went about it.
Later, Bob Dunning calls in to talk college football with Gus. They start by recapping last weekend's incredible last-minute win by Oklahoma over Texas in their annual Red River Rivalry (Shootout) and OU's huge leap in the AP and Coaches polls. They also talk about the Pac-12 continuing to be the best conference in college football as of now and their game of the year, Washington v. Oregon this Saturday. They also talk about the other great matchups nationwide this week, including  UCLA at Oregon State, Texas A&M at Tennessee and what to make of USC at Notre Dame.
