In honor of today's Commemoration of the Faithful Departed, also known as All Souls Day, Gus invites listeners to call in and remember their lost loved ones.
Also, Dr. Matthew Bunson of EWTN News calls in to talk about some news items of interest. He's just back from a few weeks in Rome where the 2023 portion of the Synod on Synodality wrapped up. He goes over some of that, including the summary document that was submitted to Pope Francis. There was agreement in expanded outreach to the LGBTQ+ community, increasing lay involvement and decision-making and an expanded role women in the Church. Of course, at this point, there's no clear explanation of all that. The concluding portion of the Synod of Synodality will take place next October.
Later, Bob Dunning calls in to talk a little college football with Gus. They discuss Kansas' upset of Oklahoma last weekend and the College Football Playoff Committee's first rankings, which has Ohio State in the top spot, before picking the winners of this weekend's biggest games.
