Gus is joined by Catholic author Tom Nash who talks about his great book, “To Whom Shall We Go?: The Biblical Case for the Catholic Church.” In it, Tom talks about how God has always worked through human instruments and how it is guided by his divine hand. If it hadn’t, she would’ve entered into the dustbin of history centuries ago. He and Gus talk about issues that seem thoroughly contemporary, like papal authority, the negative influence of the culture surrounding it, and the validity of the sacraments, but have been around since its inception.

Also, it’s the fifth Wednesday in Lent so Gus invites listeners to call in and give their Lenten Progress Reports. He asks callers what they’ve given up or taken on in Lent and how it’s going for them.

And Gus does his daily Lenten reading and reflection of Psalm 51.
