Dr. Matthew Bunson of EWTN calls in to call in some news items of Catholic interest, including the new Vatican document entitled “Dignitatus humanae,” or “On Human Dignity.” It highlights threats to human dignity like abortion, sex changes in response to gender dysphoria, transhumanism, surrogate pregnancy and human trafficking. Gus and Dr. Bunson talk about how some proponents of these actions are well intended and may have noble goals, but that doesn’t translate to them being morally correct. They also talk about the new bishop of the Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina, Msgr. Michael Martin.
Afterwards, Gus talks about a win for sanity coming from the NAIA yesterday, which is a collegiate basketball association for around 240 smaller schools. In a 20-0 vote, the NAIA ruled that biological males cannot compete in women’s sports. Gus opens up the phones and gets listener response.
