Gus is back live for the first time since January 2nd. He shares with listeners where he's been and what he's been through and the spiritual journey he believes God took him on through the excruciating pain he experienced from the shingles virus. Gus also believes he experience several mystical moments while undergoing this trial and he shares some with the listeners as best as he can. He also talks about how, because of the shingles virus, he would be in intense pain for 11-12 hours per day, he eventually came to realize that it was a gift from God. It wasn't something God was doing to him, but for him to unite him more fully with the sufferings of Christ. He also takes calls from listeners who've dealt with shingles and other painful sicknesses or watched loved ones go through pain.
He talks about the National March for Life this past coverage and today being the actual anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which in the liturgy of the Catholic Church is also the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children.
