This week is Catholic Schools Week and Gus is joined by Jennifer Daniels of the American Federation for Children who talks about the issue of school choice. It’s a term that means allowing public funds to be used for parents with options to determine the best school for their child. She talks about the positive impact it’s had on states that have this and offers many examples. She also encourages listeners who don’t live in a state that offers school choice to write their representatives and urge them to get behind it. Afterwards, Gus invites listeners who either went to a Catholic school, sent their kids to one, or both, to call in and talk about their experiences.
Also, it's Friday so that means Gus engages in some Prayer Time with listeners and continues his popular Friday w/the Fathers segment. Today, he begins the writings of St. Ambrose of Milian with his "Treatise on the Faith."
